2007 SSA Championships

Welcome to the online home of the 2007 SSA Championships, hosted by Raccoon Valley! This year's Championship meet will be held at the GCIT Aquatics Center in Deptford on July 28th, and will feature the top swimmers from the 18 member clubs of the Suburban Swim Association Of South Jersey.

News and Announcements

• Photos are Online! - Check out the Photo Galleries from SSA 2007 - over 700 photos taken throughout both sessions, and featuring swimmers from all 18 teams!
• Thank You! - On behalf of everyone at Raccoon Valley, thanks very much to all of the kids, coaches, and volunteers who helped make Suburban Championships 2007 a success. We have hundreds of photos from the event, and we'll put them online here sometime in the next few days, so please check back. Also, the demand for SSA 2007 T-shirts and apparel was way beyond expectations - if you were one of the many who post-ordered sold-out items, we'll have them to your club soon.
• Order of Events - As with last year's Championships, the order in which events are held will not be what you're accustomed to at a typical Suburban League dual meet. The morning (13-&-Over) session's order is reasonably normal, but the afternoon session (12-&-Under) will hold all 25m races first, followed by longer races. Please download the Event/Heat Spreadsheet to help you prepare for the unusual schedule so that your team is ready to roll come Saturday.
• Apparel Pre-Orders - We're no longer accepting pre-orders for SSA 2007 t-shirts and apparel, but most items be on sale at the Merchandise Table at GCIT on Saturday. Pre-orders can also be picked up at that time. Thanks to everyone who ordered!
• Starting Times Announced - Starting times have been posted for the SSA 2007 Championships - 8:30am for 13-and-overs and 2:30pm for 12-and-unders, with warmup times for each team scheduled starting one and half hours prior to each session. Spectators, please note that in terms of admissions, these will be two separate meets, and we must clear the stands fully between sessions. You will be able to purchase either a half-day or a full-day wristband for admission, but again: GCIT requires that we clear the spectator area fully between sessions. Please be prepared.
• Sponsors & Advertisers - Raccoon Valley, the Suburban Swim Association, and all of the SSA kids extend their thanks to everyone who became an SSA 2007 sponsor! Look for your ad in the official program book at Championships.
• Senior Bios Due - Team presidents and coaches: we need the bios (and a photo if possible) of your graduating seniors for the meet program. You can mail them electronically to or you can phone Brian at (609)-882-2000 x2337 during business hours to make alternate arrangements. Deadline: July 13th!
